Are you sitting on the Fence?

What a year we have all experienced! Everything around us has changed us or is changing us. For the better, I trust. It seems that the days and months are swiftly passing us by. We have had to make major decisions about life and yet, still dealing with minor opinions and different options in our daily routines.

Do we wear the mask? get vaccinated?, oh please let me live my life and allow me to make my own decisions. Some times, it gets crazy. Do I or don’t I do such and such? You are riding the fence and decisions are clogging your mind.

In today’s world, we need to hold on to our sanity and seek wisdom from God in every aspect of our individual lives and in the lives of our family.

We need to shut out the world and do what we believe we should do for ourselves and for our loved ones. Stay close to God. Read His Word, pray, and as you do so, pray for wisdom.

We can make right decisions when we seek God. Read God’s promises, seek counsel, communicate often with family members far and near. Take time for friends and fellowship. Don’t stay alone. It is not healthy to shut yourself up in a room or house. You must stay sane. This too shall pass.

So are you sitting on the fence? Trying to decide which side to climb off or jump down? It is not good to be wishy washy and attempt to please both sides of the fence. The grass may look greener on one side more than the other, but weigh your circumstances, follow your God given abilities. We will stand for something or fall for anything. People respect a person’s stance, especially if they are sound, wise and directive.

As Christians we are to be bold, brave and have the answers to life. If we claim to follow God, we should not fear and be hopeless. The best is yet to come. Stay true. In light of eternity, this too shall pass.

Enjoy every moment of every day and be thankful. The Bible tells us in Psalms that we should praise the Lord 7 times a day!! When we are grateful for everything, then we spread joy and contentment to ourselves and others.

Psalm 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgements.

So, today, brace yourself and step or jump off that fence you are sitting on, and go be what God has intended you to be: A light to the world.
