What in the World is going on?

goals year

Friends, I have so much going on in my mind as I am sure you have also. Promises, promises, the politicians are talking of all they can do for us. The television debates have to be bleeped because of all of the mud throwing that is going on between the candidates.

As parents, we are concerned about having the money to pay our electric bill, local taxes, car and house insurance; and praying we have enough in our paycheck to buy some milk and bread.

As grandparents, we want our grandchildren to live and have some of the things we enjoy everyday. We pray and desire that they will succeed in life and strive to be all they can be and live up to the potential that God intends for them .

I know America is the richest country as far as wealth and prosperity; but we as parents and grandparents must teach our children and grandchildren the most important values in life. Money doesn’t make that happen. A love of God, love for others and serving the Christ of Calvary and the Gospel is what will make us all successful.

As a born again follower of Christ, I am concerned about families and the church. It isn’t a surprise to me that the evangelical groups in America are not supporting the most conservative political candidates because the local churches are moving so close to the world in their thinking and actions. So many church members want what the world offers.

I pray for moms and dads raising their children in today’s world. There is too much of the world’s views that are being instilled in our children; in the public, private and Christian schools.

Followers of Christ need to start in the home and live Christ in front of their children. We need to go back to the landmarks that we have learned: be honest, be kind, don’t curse, ( I hate to hear Christians say OMG) treat others the way you want to be treated, and show respect to those in authority.

We need to start a godly  “Love God with all your Heart and Soul” Movement. Many people would call that, “Revival”.

As Individuals we need to go back to:

Reading our Bible daily.

Obeying the Bible

Praying 24/7 for our families.

Shari the Gospel.

Churches need to go back to:

The Word of God.

Preach it and live it.

Pray for families.

Share the Gospel.

In the past couple of years, I have seen family members dying and going to heaven. I have noticed that they don’t ask for their boss, money or worldly possessions to be with them at the end of their life; instead they want their family beside them. They want to know if all of the family will be together in heaven for eternity.

That is what counts.

We need to step back, evaluate our relationships, and evaluate  our life based on the Holy Scriptures.

When you hear someone say, “What in the World is going on?”  You can be assured that God is setting the stage for His return. You can face each day knowing that He has everything under control.

Everything that is happening in this world is not a surprise to God. He has the plan, He has the power and He has the promise of His return.

For those who are not believers:

Have you  ever seen a rainbow in the sky? Okay, thousands of years ago, after the earth was covered with water, after Noah and his family left the ark, God promised Noah that He would never cover the whole earth again with a flood (Genesis 9: 11-13) and to keep that promise He would put a bow (rainbow) in the cloud. When God says He will do something, He does it. Each one of us need to be ready. Spiritually ready for His return. Accept Christ as your personal Savior by repenting of your sins and making Him the Lord of your life.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.                   For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9,13

Believe it or not:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first: I Thessalonians 4:16

Behold he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:7,8

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen, Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20

My prayer is for us as individuals to make sure we are ready for eternity. It is all out of our hands as to what is going to happen to us in this world. God gives us the plan in His Word. He allows us to make the choice. Make the right choice, accept Christ and  allow Him to change you.

If you do not become a follower of Christ, you will continually ask, “What in the world is going on?”
