Survival Kit

Ladies, may I show you what I have in my survival kit. This survival kit goes with me wherever I go. Forget the make up, the lipstick, my credit cards, or even, yes, even my cell phone. This survival kit is what I need to get through some of my work days. I always have it ready so I can take it with me when I go for walks with the baby in the stroller or my 5th grader wanting to ride his bike 4 blocks to play ball in the park. It is needed to be a blessing to my husband, or mom, or grandma and on goes my list.  This survival kit goes every where with me.

I use the contents daily. I replenish the survival kit before I go to bed each night so it will be ready for the next day. I use the items mostly with my family in mind, but I do have extra on hand to use for a friend, a church member, a neighbor or relative. Really, using these items refresh me personally to face any day with any circumstances or issues I may face, I like to call my kit, the survival kit for moms.

Knowing that the Bible is our ultimate guide on how to raise our families, here are some additional fun things I like to put in my survival kit:

Almond Joy31. Almond Joy:    Take one daily so you can share joy with family and friends.

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25

“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.” Psalm 31:24

” Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” Psalm 51: 10,12

images4. Clock:  Yes, you need to take time for your family and don’t forget to take time for yourself.  There will always be laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping, so make sure you take time for what really matters.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:21

41665-teabag_pillow5. Tea bag: Take time to relax. Your family needs you. So take time for yourself, regroup, pray, read God’s Word, and read good encouraging Christian books. Refresh, so you can be all you can be for God and your precious family.

“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” Psalm 29:11

“Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

ID-1001705546. Candle:  Keep your light shining. You are hope for everyone you come in contact with. Christ is your light, so read God’s Word, keep His word in your heart, and let your light shine.

Enjoy every day, because God’s encouragement for us and promise is Philippians 4:13
